My partner Dick Beamer and I have been regular ROR customers for many years, although we knew Dave and Lee before ROR was ever formed. Dave was unfailingly warm and friendly, whether in or out of the office, and it's hard to believe we won't see his smiling face or get one of his hugs again. Although we've been gone from the Twin Cities for nearly 5 years, Dave was a valued connection to our former life there. We will miss him greatly.

I met David in 1975, when he was a "mad scientist" working for Dr.King at the U.(I was a grad student). My most vivid memories of working with David involved laughter...we had a great time laughing about good and bad times/politics/anything. So much of what I heard at the memorial service reminded me of David..his appetite, his kindness, his stewardship. I remember one day he came into the lab with Calvin Klein jeans on....this was not like Dave, so I immediately inquired about his new...
