Not sure what to say?

Dave was so energetic and upbeat in life. We will especially miss that MOST MISCHIEVOUS smile of his as well as all his words of encouragement in our relationship.

Dave is a great friend of 20 years and he will be sadly missed by us. May God rest the soul of a beautiful man.

My partner Dick Beamer and I have been regular ROR customers for many years, although we knew Dave and Lee before ROR was ever formed. Dave was unfailingly warm and friendly, whether in or out of the office, and it's hard to believe we won't see his smiling face or get one of his hugs again. Although we've been gone from the Twin Cities for nearly 5 years, Dave was a valued connection to our former life there. We will miss him greatly.

With a heavy heart I write this. I have never had a closer thinking relationship with anyone. Dave and I could finish each other's sentences. I cared for him very deeply and with difficulty accept that his wit, caring, and all around "nice-guy-ness" is no longer here. Perhaps he had tasks, responsibilities, that could be better addressed in his current...

I met Dave 2 years ago and in just the short time I knew him I felt as if I knew him all my life, That is how Dave was though he made everyone around him feel as if they were his best friend. He will truely be missed and is going to be irrreplaceable. I thank the lord for having the privledge of knowing Dave even if it was for a short time. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

I met Dave on his visits to San Francisco. Always enjoyed his company. He will be missed.
Condolences to his family.

On behalf of my sister Kris, I would like to thank everyone for sharing their stories about our dad and sending their kind wishes. I would like to also thank Lee, Chip and family and everyone at ROR for coordinating a wonderful service.

Sincerely,
Jim Olds

Sending my deepest condolences to the families and friends of Dave. He will be missed by many and my heart goes out to them all.
Sincerely,
Jim Andrews

I met David in 1975, when he was a "mad scientist" working for Dr.King at the U.(I was a grad student). My most vivid memories of working with David involved laughter...we had a great time laughing about good and bad times/politics/anything. So much of what I heard at the memorial service reminded me of David..his appetite, his kindness, his stewardship. I remember one day he came into the lab with Calvin Klein jeans on....this was not like Dave, so I immediately inquired about his new...
