Not sure what to say?

I think about Davidoften, usually about his generosity. Ken Auletta

I think of David all the time. I chose my barber, Peter, because David recommended him. Every time I go to a doctor I wonder: Why do you lack the bedside manner of David Pearce? In a close play at home plate in Sag Harbor softball, David would devilishly use his foot brace to bock the plate. Always with a smile.

I keep David's memory alive in an unusual way. Every three weeks I grab my iPhone and under Contacts look up, "David's Barber." For years when I passed the barber shop on Lexington Avenue in the early morning I would see David seated in the barber chair. He said he went, if memory serves, a couple of times per week. Why? "I love Peter," he told me, "He gives a great haircut." More recently, when searching for a new barber, I recalled David's words. Once again, I followed David's words.

I learned so much from you, dear David. Rest in Peace. You will always be remembered for your wonderful qualities of which there are too many to list. Judy Bergman

A man of parts, a fine doctor, a good friend whose intellectual curiosity was wide-ranging. He was as familiar with rare books as with college sports. His thoughtfulness to his friends knew no bounds. Our whole family mourns his death.

So saddened by this news - David Pearce was a true gentleman and I will miss him.

I was deeply saddened to hear of David's passing. Although almost a generation apart, I grew up with him as virtually another sibling, spending summers canoeing with him in East Hampton, discussing business and philosophy, sharing many good friends, and of course seeing him professionally for decades. He was a very special person and will be sorely missed.

David will be missed by his classmates from Lawrence High School, Class of l956. He was a good friend and an outstanding student. Rest in Peace David.

I was shocked when I read of David's passing. David was a friend of mine since Lawrence High School. Recently he was my opthalmologist. I always looked forward to seeing him and reminiscing about the old times. I remember playing softball with him in the Hamptons. He loved playing.
Arlene & I will miss him.
