Ruben and Benjamin, I offer my sincere condolences for the loss of your brother David. Although I never knew him, I did have the opportunity to meet and visit with him at the VA Hospital a couple of weeks ago. God Bless you and your family.

I first met David when we were pre-first grade students at First Ward Elementary, where the renowned Castaneda sisters were our teachers. Lidia, no words can make easier your loss now but be at ease knowing that David and you are loved. My life long memory of David will be his ready smile to all and never hearing him say anything negative about anyone. Lidia, I'll always remember David as a proud Marine and spirited member of our BHS Class of '61. May it comfort you to know he's in God's hands now and on our Memorial Wall for future class reunions. He'll be missed but his spirit will always be with us.
