O'Brien Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services - South Hadley Obituary

David B. Perron, 48, died Wednesday at his home. He was born in Holyoke, son of Bruce and Dianne Perron, grew up in Granby and graduated from Pathfinder High School. David continued his education at UMASS Stockbridge for two years studying horticulture. He moved to South Hadley in the 90’s and worked at his parent’s restaurant The Egg & I, before helping with the opening and management of The Roost (adjacent to the Egg & I). He moved to the Cape in 2009, met the love of his life Ellie, and married her in 2015. David had a giving heart and volunteered at many community kitchens, including cooking and serving Thanksgiving dinner annually. He enjoyed spending time with friends, was very creative, loved music, and the ocean. He also was an avid beach glass and Lego collector.

He leaves his wife Ellie (Bellisle) Perron, his parents Bruce and Dianne Perron of South Hadley, his brother Christopher Perron, his wife Elizabeth Perron, and their three children Caleb, Grace, and Samuel, mother-in-law Joyce Nasin, sister-in-law Stacy Bellisle and her daughter Joanna Malapetsas of Columbia, CT, his Godparents Mary Hall & Bob Williams, and his best friend since childhood Marc Dempsey of South Hadley.

Not sure what to say?

So sorry Dianne and Bruce to here about the passing if your son David. May God lift you and and be with you during this difficult time.

I just found out that David died! I am so sorry for your loss, Bruce and Dianne. (Chris too) I cannot imagine your heartache. Please know I will keep David in my prayers, as well as you both and Chris.

Bruce, Diane and family, Condolences from the Kelleher family on your loss. I heard the disturbing news this morning of Dave's passing. He was always a good person, always engaging in conversation, at The Egg & I / The Roost or out in the community. His engaging spirit will be missed.

So sorry for your loss Bruce & Dianne. May the support of family and friends help you through this dark time. Praying for you all.

I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there today. You were a dear friend of mine and I am so grateful for the opportunity to know you. I adore your family and wish I had the opportunity to hug them again. Thank you for having my family and I at the cape a few years ago. I will never forget that trip or our fun times. I love you kid. Never forget that. Until we chill again! Xoxoxo

Your soul is like no other! Love you so much Dave! Will always cherish the golden days of all of us growing up together.
