David Montgomery Pickering

David was a very special person and friend. His quiet, calm exterior belied his kind heart, sense of humor, keen intelligence and love of adventure. We valued his friendship and will forever remember him and our many happy times together with he and Jennifer. David's love for his family was obvious to all who knew him and he was so proud of his sons and grandsons. We know he will be greatly missed by all who loved him, including us.

I grew up on Holt Rd in Andover with David and Kathy just down the street. His parents were best friends with my parents, Ginny and Hayden Clark. I have great memories of my mom in her nightgown and trench coat, leaving in the dark to pick up David and together with my brother, David, she would take them to their early morning hockey practice at the Phillips Academy rink. Dear Jennifer, Brooks and Grant and, extended family, David was always the nicest and kindest neighbor and friend on the block during our youth growing up in Salem, Massachusetts!
