Not sure what to say?

Mary Jane, Tim, and Patricia: You all and DP, D3, Mike are always in my thoughts and prayers. How could you not be...I have known you all for almost 50 years. There are still a few of us left at work to regale all the newbies with tale of the days before cell phone and computers and working around the clock with DP (and cigar) captaining the weary crew! I have wonderful memories, and a grateful heart for all of them...and for all of you. May God bless you and keep you. All my love. Jane

My sincere condolences to the Presnell Family. I am grateful to have worked for Mr. Presnell and for knowing him as a friend and supervisor.

DP was a great person, friend, & boss. He gave people the benefit of the dobut and second chances when others would have turned away. He cared very deeply about the people in his life and saw the good in everyone of them. We will all miss he dearly.

Family is the rock which all else is built upon. Strength of the family in times of heartache always persevere. A trait of the Presnell family I have known for years. I love you all and know that Poppa P smiles down upon you with happiness.
My heart goes out to the Presnell family. Especially to you Patricia and boys.

Mary Jane and Family:
Lord only knows how DP and I became friends back in the "old days" after much squabbling over Government Contracts; of which we were on opposite sides of the fence, but we did and I'm greatful that we did become good friends. I very much appreciate him bringing me into the company after my retirement. David was a good man and very generous to lots of people, as a boss he was tough; he sometimes expected alot but he also gave alot. I will miss our get-togethers and...

I was only 26 when David first hired me to staff the Watterson Expressway project office—34 years have passed since then. By hiring me way back when, he set me on the road to the profession I love; by his example, he instilled in me a striving for quality in the work I do. While David was Work personified, he was also appreciative of those who toiled long hours in the PAI vineyards: I remember the long nights spent working against deadlines in those pre-computer days when everything was done...

In this time of sorrow, please remember that you have many friends all over the country who have you in their prayers.

May God bless your family.

To my dearest friends,

David Presnell Jr. was but a small part of my life and yet he holds a special place in my heart. Had it not been for him I would have never known someone that is and always will be my best friend. You can rest assured that I will be there for you every moment of the rest of your life. Here is to celebrating and remembering a man that touched many lives. RIP D.P. Your legacy lives on.

To DP's family and extended family:
I know how much DP loved his family, his work family, his community, and his profession. He was a really BIG person - not necessarily in physical stature, but in his presense and the enormous energy he created. He truly enriched the lives of those who came to know him, and once he decided he believed in you, you worked hard to prove yourself worthy of his trust. I appreciate how good he was to me, and how often he took the time to tell me that I was...
