As another TFC back-row riser-mate of David, I remember well his casual smile and quiet wit. The back row in those days will filled with taller guys with names beginning with "D": Dave, Dave, Dwight, Don, Dave...and Stan (OK not all D's). Dave Raish was a talented and gentle man with a loving heart. He will be missed and his mark left on us whether around a piece of music, a BSO tour, a golf course, or just hanging out. David was my partner for many years as we stood, side by side, in the middle of the back row, for countless concerts with the Boston Symphony as members of their Tanglewood Festival Chorus. David was always the consummate gentleman with a kind and gentle demeanor and a voice that reflected the warm of this kind soul. I´m saddened by reading the news of David´s death. My memories of him were as my sometimes partner within the TFC octet configuration. We were both on the tall side, so would be relegated to the back row. My memories of him are that he was kind, quiet, centered, humorous, and that he had a beautiful lyric tone to his strong and steady tenor voice.
