Dwight Porter

As another TFC back-row riser-mate of David, I remember well his casual smile and quiet wit. The back row in those days will filled with taller guys with names beginning with "D": Dave, Dave, Dwight, Don, Dave...and Stan (OK not all D's). Dave Raish was a talented and gentle man with a loving heart. He will be missed and his mark left on us whether around a piece of music, a BSO tour, a golf course, or just hanging out. Peace to you David and to his family and loved-ones. As Dave N commented, David R is singing and playing and smiling brightly again right now.

David was my partner for many years as we stood, side by side, in the middle of the back row, for countless concerts with the Boston Symphony as members of their Tanglewood Festival Chorus. David was always the consummate gentleman with a kind and gentle demeanor and a voice that reflected the warm of this kind soul. I remember fondly, a visit to Little Compton to play golf with David and how gracious he was to welcome me to his home. I love the picture chosen to remember Dave here as it is just as I remember him. Rest In Peace. We will hold you in our memories

I´m saddened by reading the news of David´s death.
My memories of him were as my sometimes partner within the TFC octet configuration. We were both on the tall side, so would be relegated to the back row. My memories of him are that he was kind, quiet, centered, humorous, and that he had a beautiful lyric tone to his strong and steady tenor voice.
I have all faithful confidence in believing that David is resting in peace. There are no more tremors, no more loss of control, no hallucinations. He has been healed to wholeness. He has risen to be one with God and all of God´s glory. May his family be surrounded by supportive and loving people in their mourning. May they always remember his presence, for there is no death for one well-remembered.
