I will always remember the great advice David gave me in 1959 regarding baseball. He really knew the difficult path that athletes sometimes have to take. I will always have the greatest respect for David.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Miss you Dave, I remember when I talked to you on the phone you always cheered me up. You were a special guy. I know our good Lord is happy to have you back Amen.

David and I graduated at BFHS in the class of 1959 but we met long before that in Little League baseball. He was a gifted athlete, especially playing center on the BFHS football team and in several events on the track team. He gave me some very good advice during the lunchtime breaks we had at school and I will always have the greatest respect for him.

When I met David and Pappy, forty years ago, in Shanghai, China, he exemplified his life meaning of “Honor Bright”. This became an important paternal standard for my young son James.
He loved his own children so much! The stories that he shared about each one of you, - Darcy, Wim, and John, were priceless! He also got some good ones, in on Denise, too.
His loyalty to his extended family, and friends was insurmountable. He liked to try and emulate, Lionel Richie’s song “Easy”,...
