Not sure what to say?

Dave and I were teenagers working for King Hardware on 10th street in Atlanta. The war was raging in Korea. Just prior to being drafted, Thurman, as he was known at the time, joined the Navy. He liked to say, "everybody has to do their duty, I´m doing mine and Tommy´s".

I still miss you, ole friend, and think of you often. You were the closest I ever came to having a brother.

Although we did not meet until our teen years, Dave was the closest I ever came to having a brother. In adulthood we lived in different states and saw each other only occasionally, but each of us knew the other was there if we ever needed the comfort or encouragement of a true friend. I miss you, ole friend.

I really miss David...his gentleness, caring loving nature will always be remembered.

Miss Uncle Thurman. Always a smile and never a bad word towards anyone.

I find it hard to believe that my friend, Dave, is no longer with us, let alone that he passed into his eternal rest a year ago. Sometimes I forget that he is gone and think to myself that I need to phone David. We were best friends for more than sixty years. I think of you and miss you often, ole friend. Rest in peace.

I am so sorry. I did not see him a lot but sometimes when he was at Riverfront Dr.we would talk. Sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry. Mark and Mike you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the privilege to make some of my first outside sales calls with Dave. I could not have selected a better example. Dave was appreciated and respected by his friends and customers for his honesty, professionalism and enthusiasm. He always had the well being of his customers at heart. Condolences to his family. He shall be sorely missed.
