Here are a few words I wrote to honor my uncle, they were read at his funeral:
Uncle David was a man of few words, so I’ll make this short.The term ‘eulogy' comes from the Greeks, meaning literally ‘words of praise; Uncle David never longed for praise. He didn’t brag about his accomplishments (we did that for him). He never looked to be the center of attention, he never craved fame or envied those in the spot light, but he helped make them look good. His life was spent doing things for...

David W. Roberts,was like A brother to me. We all know what A legacy he left for us to follow.However,I feel I should encourage his family to continue serving the Lord,as he has done.
To his wife Sherry,Sons Don & David.Sisters,Carolyn,& Gloria.Brother,Kenneth. My prayer for each of you is that you may find peace in the homegoing of David.Also that you will allow the LOVE of God to undergird you with his peace.May the Lord bless you & keep you, for his mercy & grace will be with you...

Our Uncle David will truly be missed. He was a quiet man and when he softly spoke, it was worth hearing! We love you precious Uncle and will see you again one day!!

My condolences to the Roberts family. We all know he is with the lord and in a better place. I worked with Don jr at Diamond Ridge back in 95 and you all are a great family and I feel for your loss. May he rest in peace.
