Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Professor Scalise's death. He was a remarkable professor, able, and engaged. He could also be a tough (but fair) grader, and there were going to be no freebies from him. I had him for Business Law as a USF junior. The class was packed, naturally, but he made it feel like there were just a few of us, rather than the 200+ in one of the McLaren classrooms. Of my four years at USF (1979-1983) there are only two professors that I remember the name of. Yours was one of them. You were intelligent and genuine. May perpetual light shine upon you.

I send my love and long distance support to Wendy and her entire family. You have wonderful memories and I'm so happy you have a way to celebrate Dave year after year. Love, marsha and family

I think of Dave and all of the family daily. This is a beautiful tribute to all of the family who are loved by so many.
Always, Mike and Marsha

I can't begin to explain how sad I am about my favorite cousin Dave and how I will miss his humor and gracious ways. Wendy, Sierra and Janice I am thinking about you. Love, Jeannie

Everything that has been said here is so true. Dave was a wonderful person and an absolute delight to work with. I was his librarian at USF for the 10 years that I have been here, and I thought he was just terrific. I send my deepest sympathy to all who loved Dave. I miss him!
