My sympathies to David's family. David was a caring person. Who I greatly admired. He always lended a helping hand. Both my older daughters was born on his B-day. And he was tickled. To My Cousins Dan, Tim and Mark:

Your Uncle Herb named me after your father, so I cannot claim to be a true cousin as I wish I could.

What is important though is that we and David and our late cousin Tommy played together as brothers long ago in the 60's while our fathers hunted and fished on the weekends. I remember these times fondly.
