Not sure what to say?

I worked with Dave at WTAJ way back in the late 70's. Still remember his smile and laugh to this day.
So sorry to learn of his illness and that he has left us.

At TV-10, Dave and I were "office neighbors". The dividing wall was short, like a cubicle. So Dave and I would throw things at each other over the wall when we would least expected it. There was never a dull moment with Dave. He was a pleasure to work with and part of the "cool people" at the station.
I truly wish that done of us would ever die. It's so sad.

Dear Summers Family,
I had the pleasure of working with Dave in Altoona and Winston-Salem.
It was Dave and Meyer Davis that pulled me from WTAJ to WXII. Dave told be about an opening in Fort Wayne, Indiana and I'm still here today. I'm honored to say I knew
Dave Summers and will remember
him a good man, crazy nut and warm
person. (He still is but he's doing it someplace else waiting for us to join him.)
God Bless!
Jim "Turc" Turcovsky

Dear David and Amy,
Jim and I were so very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. We extend our deepest sympathies to both of you and the children.
Love,
Jim and Linda Hedrick and Family

What a sad moment when I read of Dave's death in the Tyrone Herald. I had the honor and pleasure of working with Dave at WTAJ-TV 10 in Altoona, PA. He could always brighten your day with his smile or some crazy story! He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

This is truely a sad day. David was the embodiment of what a friend should be. His kindness and warmth will be his legacy. Our deepest sympathy to Myra and David, Jr.

It is with deepest saddness to hear of the passing of your husband and father, David Lee Summers. I remember the times when David Jr. and I would spent time with you in particular when Dave Sr. would attend our basketball games at West. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. love Brian Young, Walter and Janice Young and Family.
