Wow, I was stunned to read about David's passing in Cornell's online magazine. David and I were fraternity brothers, he was my "little brother" and I still have the pledge paddle he made for me. He had a sharp intellect and loved to argue, I knew he'd be a very successful lawyer! Condolences and best wishes to his family and friends.

I'm so sorry to learn of David's passing. While at Syracuse University, I competed with David and his teammates at many tournaments where he represented Cornell. His wit and intelligence made him an effective debater, which carried over into his legal career. While I mourn his loss I celebrate the joy he brought into my life and the lives of others.

Dear Stacey, Yvonne and I were both saddened to get the news yesterday. I have very fond memories of David from when we shared an apartment in our second and third years of law school. While very disciplined and focused, he was a true gentleman and optimist. When his car was repeatedly burglarized and ultimately stolen, he would exclaim, "Bad year for my car!"
