Uncle Dayle will be greatly missed. I remember him being the absolute most fun when I was a kid. Once, when we were out 4-wheeling, his jeep got stuck kind of close to the edge of a steep slope. He had us kids jump out of the front, where we were staring into the abyss with some concern, to become 'ballast' on the back of the jeep... memorably cool. He was always supportive and kind, and had a dry sense of humor that has always made me smile.

Dayle lived a good life with a family that loved him and he loved. He was a good brother, always calling on birthdays and always a warm smile and hug when you saw him. He was a hard worker, an engineer, a pilot, a sailor, a skier, a hiker, a mountaineer, who drove his jeep in places many thought impossible and always had time for a dip in Lake MI when he was there. He was a gentle soul who loved life. He will be missed.

I remember one-time skiing Jean, Darren, Dayle and I when a snowboarder zipped fast over the top of a picnic table we were resting on/near. Dayle positioned himself before the second snowboarder could do the same, grabbed the kid (Dayles control...
