Those Berthoud root beer float visits continue in memory of Dean and Jim but not enjoyed like in their company. However, they will continue as long as I am riding!

When I installed my battery tender on the '76 Gold Wing this week, it made me think of Dean who was a firm believer in looking after those idle machines. The tender was a gift from Jim; probably suggested by Dean.

My condolences to all of Dean's family. Dean was very helpful to me when I started my business in the old Texaco station in Lyons that he ran for many years. He was kind enough to allow me to make copies of old photos he had of the place that I'm honored to have hanging on the wall. He shared some great stories with me about the place and Lyons. I was very glad to have known him; a great guy.
