Dean Robert Vaughan age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday February 4, 2022, at his home.
Mr. Vaughan was born in Galax, Virginia on July 8, 1937, to Robert Houston and Gladys Virginia Bartlett Vaughan. In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Minnie Corinne Hodge Vaughan; sister Joan Vaughan; brothers Freddie Vaughan and Michael Vaughan; son -in-law Dwain Marsh; sisters-in-law Becky Vaughan and Margie Vaughan.
He is survived by daughters and son-in-law Kathy Marsh; Rebecca Vaughan-Funk and Brian all of Galax, Virginia; sons and fiancées Robbie Vaughan and Teresa Anauo of Galax, Virginia; Richard Vaughan and Penny Mooney of Max Meadows, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law Betty Mauer of Oregon; Phyllis and Roy of Clemmons, North Carolina; Ella and Robert Miller of Independence, Virginia; Carolyne of Safford, North Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law; Ricky and Rita Vaughan of Woodlawn, Virginia; Ronnie Vaughan; Charles Vaughan; Gaither and Jan Vaughan; Billy Vaughan all of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law Helen Hodge; brother-in-law Wade Hodge; grandchildren Katie Ali of Fort Hood, Texas; Brett Anauo of Sylvatus, Virginia; Jessica Alkaya of Germany; Roger Alley; Alex Vaughan-Funk all of Galax, Virginia; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 Pm in the Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. James Billings officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A guestbook is available at www.vaughanguynn.com
