The message I wrote after learning the sudden loss of this special person is as profound now as then. The true meaning of her legacy remains present and inspiring to me daily. People of her quality are rare in today's society. That alone blessed me, and I am so grateful for having known her.

The legacy that Deborah Baldwin gave the world will last for the ages. She was a farmer's wife, that in itself signifies the quality and strength of this wonderful person, not to mention her love and devotion as a mother. I know all to well the contribution of such a person, for I too was blessed to have a farmer's wife in my life.

Debby was a real genuine person who loved agriculture and especially gifted, in animal husbandry. She was a devoted mother and the definition of a "farmer's wife". She believed in doing things right as well as being open and honest in her comments and advice. We will always value her as a trusted friend who encouraged us in our early years of farming.
