Deborah Ellen Benoit

It was with great sadness I recently learnt of Deb's passing. I lived with her and Japanese students on Montauk. I always intended to return to the US for a holiday and visit Debby. Life got in the way and I never made it. Its too late now and this will be my biggest regret. I have very happy memories of being there. The Tribute photo is just how I remember her. Love you Debby and will always remember your kindness and laughter.

I will never forget your gutsy life, smiling face, lovely guitar, and the lights of New London on the water at night looking down from your apt. Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.

My one of a kind friend and I had often watched the river in the night as we sat or sang or chanted. I was sorry to lose touch with her and I wish I could share my 2019 graduation news. I was so inspired by Debbie's list of cohorts on her Masters from Conn College. She was always holding others up to the light! Thank you Deb, for being your wonderful self and I know your journey continues. Blessings on your children, most dear to you always.

Rest In Peace my beautiful friend. Ill always remember your positive presence with happiness.

My heartfelt condolences to Deb's family. I was Deb's babysitter from the late 70's and early 80's. The coolest lady ever!
