Denise Y. Blanchette

I still miss you, Denise. We had some great lunches and conversations. Like my mom, Denise would go from speaking English to French but I understood.

I still miss Denise. She'd sometimes start talking French but I understood and we'd just laugh. My mom did the same thing.

I had a mass said for her in November and will have another in December. Didn't realize it's been a year already.

I still miss Denise. She had her opinions and frequently gave me advice. She was also a good friend and made me laugh.

I first met Denise at Broad St. School in Central Falls when I was student teaching. Years later, I was teaching at Broad St. and we became friends. Our friendship grew when I retired. She lived in Bellingham and I in Blackstone. We had many lunches together, especially at The Lafayette House where we joined a Christian women's group. She certainly liked to talk and I enjoyed her many stories. I missed her when she went to Texas but now she is in God's hands. God bless you, Denise!
