Denise Mallon Obituary
Denise Mallon, born March 18, 1953 in Chicago, IL to Robert and Kathryn Adelman died peacefully on April 25, 2017. She married her husband, Paul on August 13th, 1982. Denise was fiercely devoted to her family and loved generously. She enjoyed entertaining groups of relatives and friends and made her guests feel warm and always well fed. She is survived by her husband Paul, children Katie (Russ) Carey and Rob (Mary) Mallon, sisters Deborah and Diane and granddaughters Sloane and Summer. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Little Company of Mary who went above and beyond throughout the course of Denise's care. Memorial visitation, Friday, April 28 3 pm - 8 pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W 103rd St, Oak Lawn, IL. Memorial Funeral Mass Saturday, April 29, 9:30 am at Saint Linus Church, 10300 S Lawler Ave, Oak Lawn. Just learned of this sad loss; very sorry for sending these late condolences to Mr. Mallon, Katie, and Robbie, etc. Mrs. Mallon was a fun-loving and supportive 'second mother' to myself growing up. Although, we'd lost consistency in seeing one another over the years; she will be sorely missed.
I ran into her a couple of years ago, and her smile was still as heartwarming as I always remembered. It made me feel still so very special to her; which I believe was her gift to most people.
Praying for your whole family at this time, as I think positive thoughts in regards to this new angel in Heaven.

Remembering the good times we all shared at Terraverde. You were such a good listener and kind friend to us. Paul loved to tell his stories while we all laughed together hanging at the pool. We were sorry to see you leave here but know how important it was for you to be home in Chicago with your special family. So happy for the time you had with your grandchildren. To my lovely Aunt...
I will miss you so much. You had a warmth inside you that always made me feel so loved and welcome. You were gentle and caring; you were interested in me and my story. You loved being with your family and friends. You loved the sun and summer, and for a while you were so eager for me to see your condo in Ft. Myers that you were so proud of! You really seemed to love this life.
I am so sad I didn't get to say goodbye in person, but I am grateful for our correspondence over the past several months.
