Dennis Dolan Obituary

Dennis G. Dolan

Naples, FL - Dennis G. Dolan, 66, died peacefully surrounded by his family on January 15th, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Debbie, his children Brian (Joy), Chris, Kayla Joan, and two grandsons, Keegan and Liam, who were the light of his world. He is also survived by his parents Raymond and Florence, siblings Ken, Debby, and Ray.

Dennis was born on February 26, 1952 in Long Island, New York. He grew up on Staten Island and attended Monsignor Farrell High School. Dennis earned both his bachelors degree and M.B.A from Pace University while working full time in the financial industry. Dennis was a member of the National Guard and the Army Reserves during the 1970s.

After working for 31 years, Dennis retired to do what he loved most - play golf and watch his children and grandchildren grow up. Dennis was always present for his children's athletic events, whether it was a baseball game or an equestrian event and he was his children's greatest champion.

After years of "enduring" the bitter New Jersey winters, he and his wife Debbie relocated to their happy place in Naples, Florida. You could always find Dennis with a golf club in one hand, a cigar in the other, and a contagious smile on his face while bragging about his family. After raising three children, he spent his final years with his wife enjoying a much deserved retirement.

Visitation will be on Friday January 18th, 2019 from 10am to 2pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Garden, 525 111th Avenue North, Naples, FL 34120. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 19th at 12pm at St. Agnes Church 7775 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, FL 34120. A celebration of Dennis' life will also be held in New Jersey at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to either The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University or to the NCH Healthcare System (to be designated to the Brookdale Rehabilitation Center)

The family would like to thank the many friends and family who visited over the past several months. Your presence and stories helped sustain us and bring life even in the midst of death. Condolences may be left online at www.HodegsNaplesMG.com.
