July 9, 2017. Dennis and I were college roommates for several years, starting in September, 1964. In addition we were swim team colleagues and worked together as life guards at the college pool in the evenings and on weekends. You don't live with someone for 4 years without developing a close bond, and resulting friendship. He was in the education program and I was liberal arts. After graduation we tried to stay in contact but he lived in the Hudson Valley and I lived in NYC, so distance...
