Dennis Miller, Ph.D., age 78, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 in Blue Ash, Ohio. He was born May 2, 1944 in Cincinnati to the late Paul R. and Mary (Flanigan) Miller. Dennis was a lifelong resident of Sharonville, Ohio and a longtime parishioner of St. Michael Catholic Church. In 1962, he graduated from Saint Gregory’s Seminary. He completed his bachelor's and master’s degrees in education at Xavier University and attained his doctorate from the University of Cincinnati. Dennis previously worked for the Cincinnati Board of Education for 24 years followed by 11 years as Principal at Princeton Schools.


Dennis is survived by his children, Michelle (Donald) Schon, Dennis (Corie) Miller, David Miller, and Melissa (Brian) Brown; grandchildren, Tyler Buken, Andrew Schon, Isabelle Miller, Colin Miller, Toby Miller, Braeden Bowman, Nolan Brown, Hunter Brown, and Jackson Brown; caretaker, Robin Fine.


Dennis was blessed with his intelligence, witty sense of humor, caring heart, and a work ethic that never quit! He served as Past President of Schoolmasters Club of Greater Cincinnati, Ohio Trade and Industry Education Supervisors Association, and Past Distinguished President of Kiwanis Club of Sharonville. Dennis also enjoyed travelling with his family and friends to major and minor league baseball events; exploring the western states, cruises, and Cayman Islands. When his grandkids were younger, he would often accompany them to the movies and out for ice cream. Dennis always enjoyed a good game of Texas Hold ‘Em.


Visitation will be 4-7 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 7th, at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Last year June 2022 innocently unaware of your cancer we revelled in being older and together loving our time together.

Yesterday was a cold May 2nd your birthday perfect for the loss of such a warm caring person. Last year May 2nd 2022 we thought you just had arthritis still active working climbing steps minor stuff and now you're gone. So feeling grateful that we did not take anything for granted. We always knew time was important so glad time was spent with laughter and lots of good times. Miss you always Denny.

A hero that stayed the course showing kindness and strength. Dennis Miller protected, loved and cared. He will live on in our hearts and memories for eternity. How extraordinary to meet such an amazing person and have them care. Rare, precious, irreplaceable Dennis Miller a spirit gone too soon but not forever. Sleep awhile you deserve a peaceful rest loved and ever present in our hearts until we meet again.
