Please forgive this late response. I am one of many who worked at Raytheon during Dennis's long and very successful tenure there. He was a strong leader, to put it mildly. Only recently did I learn of his absolutely key role in the Patriot air defense system, in a talk by radar legend Eli Brookner. During the IEEE Honor Ceremony in Montreal, Dr. Picard was so kind to send a letter of congratulation to me. The President of IEEE read the letter during the ceremony.
