Dennis E. Rettig, originally from Pleasant Ridge and Evendale, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023 at the age of 62. He was born October 29, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Herman William and Lillian Frances (nee Huesman) Rettig.
Cherished brother of the late Marianne (Larry) Grote, James (Chris) Rettig, Alan (Diane) Rettig, Linda (the late Charley) Gatton, William (Karen) Rettig, David (Colleen) Rettig, Janice Streng, and Roger (Maureen) Rettig; beloved uncle to 17 nieces and nephews; along with his great nieces and great nephews, relatives, and close friends; Bob, Kevin, Mike, and the late Stewart.
Dennis’ presence will be deeply missed by his friends and family. We enjoyed his ornery sense of humor and frequent pranks that earned him the nickname “Night Neatener”. He loved Broadway Musicals, showtunes, delicious home-cooked meals, Halloween, and animals (except squirrels).
Visitation will be from 9 AM until the time of Mass at 10 AM on Monday, August 7th, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E. Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249 with Fr. Jack Wehman as celebrant. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery following the Mass. Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home is honored to assist with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com
