Dear Thompson Family,
I just heard about Denny's passing in the YHC magazine. We were fraternity brothers and good friends. He had the greatest smile and was one of the best and most humble athletes I've ever known. He was always up for fun and was always quick with a funny line. My sympathy to your family.

So sorry to hear about Denny's passing. My brother and I played baseball with Denny when he lived in Savannah, Tennessee. We attended 1-10th grade with Denny. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Pandy, As I watch you try to put your life back together, I can only imagine your pain. Denny was a wonderful person and brightened my life every time I saw him since the day I met him 20 years ago. To the Thompson family....I am so deeply sorry for the loss each and everyone of you have suffered. Denny was taken way before his time. He is one of the most caring, loving people I have had the pleasure of knowing in my life. Always had a smile. Pandy, he loved you dearly and would speak of you often. People pass on, but their memory lives on in our hearts. He is and will always be deeply missed.

Dear Pandy, Don & Patrick
The news of Denny's passing was shocking and it has saddened me deeply that he was taken so young. Denny was a wonderful jolly guy and like a brother to me and my sister's (Wanda & Debbie) he loved our parents (Grace & Harry) and took alot of time up with our children at the FLETC ball field (Beth, Shannon, Jason, Laura, Crystal & Romeo). He was a caring and giving person that will be missed by everyone that knew him. My prayers are with you Pandy, Don & Patrick. Denny will be greatly missed and Heaven has gained another ball player and fisherman right along side my dad and mom and he gets to meet our brother Stan. We love you and the family and will keep you in our hearts and prayers. God will give you the strength and courage during this time of sorrow. Pandy and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Denny's passing! I met Denny when I worked at FLETC in athletic training with Phil Callicut early in my career. Denny was always so much fun to be around and very supportive of me just starting out.
Later on I used to see him running on the beach or refereeing a game. He gave a lot to all. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please accept my condolences as I am not able to express them in person.

Way back at Bradwell and Georgia Southern Denny and I enjoyed many great times with many laughs. When I got the news my tears changed to smiles thinking back on those great times. Wonderful service today. REST IN PEACE my friend. Our prayers are with all of ya'll.

I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't find out the details of the funeral in time to attend but did want to send my sincerest condolences. I play golf every week with Joe Thompson Sr and he always spoke so highly of Denny. You could tell he loved him very much. Pandy, I wish I could be there for you as I can't imagine how heartbroken you are.....Denny was/is a great man and a true friend! Within the past three-six months he and I exchanged many phone conversations about some work at FLETC but most often talked about old times, and he brought back so many great memories that I will cherish for a lifetime! I can say without hesitation that he was truly a happy man, and you and the boys are the main reason for his happiness!

Pandy, Don, Patrick and Katie, I have had the pleasure of calling you and Denny friends for many years and it has truly been my honor to know you all.
