Not sure what to say?

To Linda and family, I read about Denny´s passing in the Spring issue of the Luther Magazine. I´m so sorry to hear about his death. Denny and I were good friends at Luther and he served as a groomsman in our wedding (Kathy Tegeler Fick is my wife). I always enjoyed Denny´s quiet, thoughtful, humble demeanor. He always brought a spark of joy to my life. I´m sorry we didn´t keep in touch following Luther. I´m sure you miss him greatly.

I just learned of Denny's passing, and was very saddened to hear of the loss of this outstanding person. Denny was my boss and mentor at Mesaba Airlines/Pinnacle/Endeavor, and I considered him to be a friend. He was a man of the highest integrity and intelligence, and loved his family very much. He will be missed by everyone he touched in life.

Condolences to the Ofstedahl family. We truly lost the best amongst us. Some are put here to "be the light." Denny did that magnificently and left the Earth a better place because he was here. He came as close as anyone to getting this life right and touched so many people in the process. He will be greatly missed. Until we meet again, my friend.

My condolences to Denny's extended family from here in Sydney, Australia. I was a classmate of Denny at Luther College and remember him well from dorm life at Ylvisaker Hall during freshman year. I really got to know this outstanding individual at Hothorpe Hall in England, however. He was a man of the finest character who proved to be my gardening mentor at Hothorpe. We worked the compost together in any and all weather conditions- even when I considered heavy rain showers to be a time not...

Denny was such a fixture in the fabric of life at Shepherd of the Valley. His approach to life and activities was always in a positive and upbeat manner. His presence among us will be greatly missed.

Denny was a wonderful disciple of Christ. Such a caring and thoughtful friend. Bud really enjoyed the SOTV early Friday morning men´s Bible Study for so many years which Denny led. Denny was so kind and visited Bud several times these past couple of years as he struggled with his Parkinson´s Disease and became more home bound. He was so thoughtful to ask if we needed any assistance as we prepared to move from Apple Valley after 36 years to Decorah, Iowa to be close to my family for...

Deeply sadden to hear of the passing of Denny. My deepest condolence's to you all. I met Denny when like himself I was a volunteer at Hothorpe Hall . He was a remarkable young man then and reading about him here see that it has continued throughout his life.

Linda, I am truly sorry for your loss. I had only been around Denny a handful of times since Abby & Wes married. I could tell he was a caring, loving, spiritual man. He loved his family and the Lord and it showed. He will be missed greatly but you will see him live on in your beautiful daughters and grandchildren.
