Derek always had a smile on his face and made you feel better after spending time with him. He always greeted me with "Hello Beautiful"! I'm sure he said that to everyone, but to me it felt like a million bucks. I'm so glad I had the pleasure of knowing him and was proud to call him my "brother in law". My heart aches at this loss. You will be forever missed!

My friend, my heart is broken over this. I cannot imagine the pain your family is going through. I know you left them with so many good memories, as you were always making everyone around you smile. Jr and Dayton couldn't have had a better father, you were truly the best. I will think of you often, no way could you ever be forgotten. I'll see you later friend.
