Not sure what to say?

I miss you dearly my friend

RIP My friend.

Iris

When I was at the memorial on Saturday I wanted to sing (not that I have a great voice). But this is what I think DEREK would say....

I'M Free

I'M Free
Praise the LORD I'm Free
No longer bound
No more chains holding me
My soul is resting
It's just a blessing
Praise the LORD
Hallajula I am FREE

Missing my buddy terribly! Thinking of you everyday Iris??

I will never forget you Derek. The gentle teddy bear, warm hugs, bright smiles, always respectful, soft spoken, the conversations about family, about Iris, the love of your life, the twinkle in your eyes when you spoke about your kids and grandkids; how you were always the first to sign up or take action when a complex or difficult challenging task needed leadership; how you would drive with the "boys" to NY for a holiday party, gatheringa or a cruise up the East River; the party always got...

Derek was my best friend and I cherished him like a brother; will be forever missed.

Derek was a great guy and will be missed. I enjoyed working with him over the last several years and it was always a pleasure to talk with him. My thoughts are with him and his family.

We've lost such a bright light in our lives! He was an awesome friend, a kind and caring soul. I will miss him terribly. Iris God Bless you my friend and please know How grateful we all are to have had him in shine on our lives.

Iris, there are so many beautiful memories to reflect on. Derek will be sorely missed by all family and friends. It is so hard to say good-bye to yesterday but he will forever be remembered and live in our hearts.
