DEVON POOR

Devon was loved by all the bridge players at the Cosmopolitan Club. She will be greatly missed by all of us.

Devon was my close friend for 52 years, starting when we worked together at Business International Corp. She spoke Spanish fluently and wrote knowledgeably about Latin American politics and business. Most importantly for me, she introduced me to my late husband, with whom I spent 39 wonderful years. She was smart, witty, often hilariously funny and the most competitive person I´ve ever known. On the rare occasions when I beat her at Words With Friends, she would come back with a vengeance and...

My brilliant and funny New York City bridge partner, such times we had together....never forgotten, dearest Devon.

We´re so sad about Devon´s death. She burned bright. She was a favorite of Michael´s bridge partners. Finding their way back from the Rye Brook tournament that time was harder than beating their opponents.
