Devra Turner Tuijten

Dear Fred and Teeny and Geerit-Jan, I went to Utrecht with Devra on the study abroad trip when she met and fell in love with Geerit-Jan. She was a marvelous person and wonderful friend. Since we both married and started moving around, I lost touch, but recenttly heard from Patty Hudson (a friend of Karen Koelemij's) about Devra. Eric (my husband) and I send our deepest sympathy. I did not know Devra but I know she was always on your mind and in your heart as she forever will be. Please know that I am thinking of you and that you will let her memories along with family and friends comfort you.

Having been a Turner neighbor for much of my youth, I was deeply saddened after learning of Devra's passing. I have so many memories from my childhood of Devra, Doug and the Turner family. I'm sure you all are proud of the fine person that she had become. My heart felt sympathy to you all. Now that her suffering has ended it's time to celebrate her life. My best wishes to you all.
