5years gone & approaching 30rs since i met him in person, still no one has ever come close to lighting the fire of dreams in the darkness of lost hope like dex. the amway thing has become a marker on the economic road of business & marketing long ago as the dynamics have changed, but the dream lives on only looking for its next spark, so as to light the road forward. there will never again be another dexter yager, but i pray, there may be another who is worthy to pick up his torch & carry it forward as a people builder & a dream warrior. til then, this 10th generation US Army combat veteran will soldier on & seek far & long for such an opportunity.
God bless dex, & see you in that next place from where only a few of us have seen & returned.

Being quite late to add my condolences to a list that must be millions of mourners. No doubt you built the Amway business. Privileged to hear you in person once- Tapes, Meetings and Seminars is the path. Along with the good fellowship. God bless you and keep you.

dex, you were the BEST! you always remain positive through the many years, hardships and sacrifices...as well as the challenges, frustrations, setbacks and humiliations...in business, and life in general. you never were perfect, but you were persistent and perseverant.
some arrogant punk-a kid comes to one of your events, and you shook his hand...never mentioning your position, rank, or income...and instilled the seed of a dream that has carried him through the good and bad times, as well as even the battlefields of iraq.
the times have changed, as has economic realities in supply-chain economics and the marketing thereof here in the states...but the dream still remains in the many of us who's lives you touched and forever changed.
i thank God for you, and the many who've become like you, because of you!

Yager Family,
I just learned of Dexters passing. My life and career have brought me in contact with many high-profile people, but it would be hard for me to imagine anyone who had a greater positive impact on more people than Dexter Yager. He will never be forgotten, and his legacy will remain and continue to grow into the future.
Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Our deepest sympathy to the Yager Family. How blessed we are to have known Dexter Yager. Every time we had the privilege to be in his presence, we felt his deep love for people and his deep desire to want to help and serve them. He has left such a loving presence in our hearts. He has forever touched us with his wisdom and example of servant leadership, and we are extremely grateful for his influence on our lives. May you take comfort in knowing that he is at home with the Lord.

Thanks Dexter!

My brother Chuck pictured here with all of his children. After 2 tours of Vietnam my brother came home a very changed young man. One of the biggest changes was in his faith. After all he had seen and witnessed in Vietnam he didn't believe there could be a God that would allow all of that horror. My brother had always been an easygoing fella with a gentle sweet spirit. That had not changed but you could no longer see joy in his eyes, they were filled with sadness even when he smiled. I would talk to him about Jesus every now and then and he would pat me on the head and say "that is great for you Missy". He was 17 years older than me so we we never really hung out together. That all changed when Amway, Dexter and Birdie entered our lives. Our entire family got involved and every major seminar it was like a family reunion. Even tho we lived far apart we came together for a weekend several times a year. It was wonderful! Then God hatched a plan! We all came together to attend the next major seminar and this time Captain Gerald Coffee would be speaking. A former POW during the Vietnam War. My younger brother Rex was responsible for hosting Captain Coffee and asked Chuck to help. That weekend Captain Coffee shared his testimony Sunday morning and Chuck was there to hear it. We were all captivated with his powerful testimony of how he leaned into Jesus to survive the horrors he endured. Then the altar call came and Chuck got up and went forward. It makes me cry typing this now as only a short year later my brother Chuck died from a fatal heart attack while driving his car. If not for Dexter and his willingness to provide those Sunday services I don't know that Chuck would have made that decision. Captain Coffee spoke his language and knew the tragedies and horrors of Vietnam. Chuck was able to ride to the airport with Captain Coffee after the service. Captain Coffee spoke with him in great length and prayed with him. Thank you Dexter, the light returned to my brothers eyes and the joy and peace he experienced that last year of his life I will never forget. I am sure Chuck has met you in heaven and shared the story with you by now!
