The kids were on winter break, and then Monday came. I drove my kid to school, but I didn't see you there. I wondered if you were on vacation.
Tuesday came, still no sign of you there. No morning waves and quick smile as I drove by. Still I wondered where you were. The thought of you on vacation did not sit right, for some reason.
