Diane Doreatha Morgan, 58, 27 W. 118th St., Manhattan, N.Y., entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, at the Saint Barnabus Hospital, Bronx, N.Y.

She was a native of Dinwiddie County, and was the daughter of the late Raymond Morgan. She was predeceased by a sister, Alma Batts (Edward) of McKenney, Va.

She is survived by two sons, Keith A. Morgan (Debra) and Shawn J. Morgan; a mother, Mrs. Ida B Morgan of DeWitt; three sisters, Maxine Morgan of Jamaica, N.Y., Queenie Byrd (Alphonzo) of Prince George and Sally White of Portsmouth, Va.; three brothers, Raymond Morgan (Margaret) of Sutherland, Va., Richard Morgan (Debra) of Richmond, Va., and Earl Morgan (Charlene) of Petersburg, Va. She is survived by four aunts, Doris Bundy, Doris Morgan, Faye Stewart, Margaret Stewart; one uncle, James Stewart; four grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, with two dedicated cousins, James and Elsa Morgan, and two devoted nieces, Latisha Hicks and Tonya Batts.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at the Center Star Baptist Church in Dinwiddie, Va., with the pastor, the Rev Jimmy L. Walker Sr. officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the residence of her mother, 14213 Gatewood Road, DeWitt.

Memorial services have been entrusted to the McKenney Chapel-Joseph M. Johnson and Son Funeral Home, 11107 Doyle Blvd., McKenney, (804) 478-4411.
