Diane was my counselor when I was an undergraduate at Harvard and she was probably a greater help to me than anyone else at the school. I still hold on to some of the things she said to me and remember them during difficult times. She was there when I needed her most. I remember her coming in and unlocking the Bureau of the Study Counsel after hours one night when I was desperate. She even met with me a couple of times after I graduated. I googled her recently, thinking about getting in touch with her again, and learned to my shock that she had passed away. I'm so glad that I was lucky enough to know her at Harvard, and that I had the chance to thank her for her help while she was still alive.

Forty years ago, when I was a Harvard freshman, Diane and Larry were the dorm residents. They set a tone of gentle caring and humaneness that was at odds with the hard-edged university vibe. When my life came to a crisis, they helped me to have the support I needed--even though I never told them directly about my problem! I imagine that there are hundreds of stories like mine about Diane and Larry. With sincere condolences.

I am sorry to hear of Diane's passing. I referred many students to her over the years and always appreciated her thoughtful insights and compassion. I will miss seeing her biking around campus.

She was a wonderful, caring person and Harvard students were better for knowing her. My sympathies.

My deepest Sympathy to Larry and family. Words can not express my feelings for Diane, as she will always be pictured in my mind and heart as she lived and loved her family. The smile she would alyways give me when I mention something I loved about her children. Condolence to all, Christine & family
