Not sure what to say?

Ann, Mike and family,

We have certainly lost a great man in the ranks of the coaching world. I count myself blessed to have known and worked with Dick over the years. I am privileged to call him “friend”. What a loss!

As I think back over the years and recall many wonderful times, I can’t help but remember the years Coach served the San Francisco 49ers and brought the team and his young family to Santa Barbara for preseason camp at UCSB. Those are fabulous memories for me...

Dear Nolan Family,
It is with great sadness we heard of Dicks passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Although many years have passed, Your family left an indelible mark on ours, and we continue to cherish the childhood memories we once shared. Ann, Mom so enjoyed your friendship and Dad, who passed 3 years ago, always considered Dick a gentleman and dear friend.
May your memories of your husband/father be your strength during this difficult time.
With fondest...

Rook, Nancy and Mike
So sorry to hear about your dad. My prayers are with you and your family. I will always remember the time you came to our house for Thanksgiving dinner when your dad and mom were away in Dallas for a game. Nancy I can remember how fun your dad was when I was over at your house.

To all the Nolan Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers.

Ann, 'Rook', Nancy, Mike and Family:

It is with much sadness I send this message as Dick was a fellow co-worker and friend some 30 years ago with the New Orleans Saints. He would often tell me if I was at a difficult moment, that "the sun will come up tomorrow". And it did.

Dick was a strong person. He didn't let on to me during two conversations last year, that his health was not the best. Instead. we talked and laughed about past times.

It was thru Dick I came to...

ANN, I HAVE ALREADY MISSED DICK DRIVING BY AND WAVING. OUR PRAYERS ARE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. TO ALL THE CHILDREN YOU HAD A GREAT FATHER.

Dear Ann and family,
I am sorry for your great loss. Dick was a great man and I was privileged to know him at St. Francis. He was so kind to me always. I especially remember how graciously he took some items for my nephew to be autographed by Cowboys players, Troy Aikmen and Emmit Smith. The "little guy" is in college now and still has these treasures. Dick and Ann were outstanding in their involvement in the outreach ministry at St. Francis, recognizing all the gifts they had received and...

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Laurie and I will miss coach. We enjoyed seeing him and Ann when we went to visit our dad. They brought a ray of sunshine into our lives that we will miss.
