Doloris Williams Obituary
She was preceded in death by her father, William (Pat) Pritchett; her brother, Fred Pritchett; and her son, Russell Cole Williams.
Survivors include her husband, Marshall Gray Williams of Tuscaloosa; her daughter, Laruen Williams Pilsch (Turner) of Tuscaloosa; her sons, Bryan Williams (Jennie), Trace Williams (Kristy), Heath Williams (Jennifer), Hunter Williams (Quinn), and Trent Williams (Erika), all of Tuscaloosa; her sister, Sherrie Bentley (Darrell) of Cottondale; her brother, Mike Pritchett (Teresa) of Northport; her mother, Mary-Alyce Wilburn of Northport; and her grandchildren, Justin, Kayla, Kelsey, Bryson, Austin, Carson, Ashlyn, Landon, Haven, Morgan, Preston, Avery, Elliot, Callie, Luke, Evan, Audrey, Cullen, Jackson, and Mary-Charles.
Dodie loved the Lord with all of her heart. She was married to the love of her life, Marshall, for 42 years. Much of her time was spent caring for and serving others. Dodie was known for her wonderful cooking, her beautiful silver hair, and her bright smile. Her Sunday family gatherings always included a home-cooked meal. After raising her children she worked at R.L. Zeigler for 18 years. Dodie, known as "Big Mama", loved every minute with her six children and 20 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her five sons and her son-in-law.

I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Williams' passing. I'll always remember her smiling and happy, showing her love and support for all her children and grandchildren at the ball fields. She fought a good fight and she kept the faith.

Dear Williams family,
Dodie and I were in the Tuscaloosa High Black Bear band. I remember her smile then and from reading other entries she kept it to the end. I am familiar with lose - Al and I lost our first born daughter in 1969. Our heart and prayers go out to all of you. What a joy your reunion will be in Heaven!!

Dodie was such an amazing woman. I have admired and loved her since I first met her. I know you miss her so much! Through her love, strength, and courage she raised one of the most beautiful families I know. Stay strong, may God give all of you peace and comfort for the rough journey ahead. Just remember she loved each one of you with all of her Big Mama heart and she will live on through all of those precious memories she made with you!!! Marshall: So sorry to hear of Dodie's passing. She was a wonderful, fun loving person. We had such good times in high school. I remember all the fun times when my son, Chris, played ball with the boys and the calls after the games because Lauren has swallowed her baby ring. She will be missed greatly. Dear Marshall and Family,
I can't put into words how I felt when I heard of Dodie's passing. My heart is just broken. My prayers are with you all. My Beau spent many a wonderful moment at Dodie's kitchen table. She made him feel like family. Beau always had stories to tell me about his time spent at your home. I knew Dodie as a wonderful wife to Marshall and a supportive Mother to all her children and grandchildren. I still don't know how she did it. I always thought of her as Super Mom, and she was. As my mother called and told me the news of the passing of "Dodie" as we all knew her I was shocked and saddened. Dodie was such a wonderful person and caring too, she loved life itself. I will always remember Dodie and her smile,, if I ever seen her out in public she always had a smile. She will be missed.

Dodie was always a loving and sweet person. We grew up in the same neighborhood and we saw each other often at ball fields. I last saw her at a football game watching one of her grandchildren. She always had that beautiful smile. Praying for family.

It broke my heart to hear the sad news about Doloris' passing. Although I came to know her as 'Dodie' later on, she was 'Doloris' in elementary school, and it is there I will return in my mind for the wonderful memories I have of her. I wish I could take away the pain of her loss, but I know you are rejoicing in knowing she is with her Lord Jesus Christ. I will pray for the family, for I know this is not a loss that will be healed quickly. May God comfort each of you in His own special way.
