Rev Dominic W. Maruca S.J.

Dom was my Novicemaster at Wernersville in 1964. I left the Jesuits but caught up with Dom in 1996 or so. Around 2000 Anne and I hosted him when he came to Utah to conduct a retreat for Utah priests. It was a great visit and we still remember his offering Mass at our dining room table. We stayed in touch by email until about 5 years ago. I just saw his obit today, 14 Oct 2022. He was a very wise and patient mentor. May he Rest in Peace. Ken and Anne Freimuth Ogden, Utah

In the late 1970s Father Dom gave a series of spiritual retreats around the world for US Navy chaplains. A great teacher, his material still part of my library and reading. 'Faith is fear tamed by trust.' Father Dom was a quiet tornado, a scholar with major treasure. We are still rich. And mighty grateful.
