Courtenay, I knew your dad for 18 years. I work for Alamo Concrete as their project engineer and became acquainted with him since he was our neighbor and I was in charge of some projects close by. As I got to know him I enjoyed visiting with him as we sat in the front looking at the yard he was so proud of. I would bring him Honey Baked Ham gift certificates or gravel for his driveway. Sometimes I would stop by just to help fix something for him. He always said that wasn't necessary but I...

Don was like a second father to me when I was younger, and a good friend when I got older. He had a great personality and sense of humor, loved to laugh, was caring and would give you the shirt off his back. I will miss him very much.
