Mark,

I never had the chance to meet your father but I've heard nothing but good things about him and his talents. I'm sure you got your artistic photography talents from him. Keep your chin up and cherish your memories of him.

My thoughts are with Mark and his family on the loss of their father and grandfather.

Mark recently spent time with his Dad before the holidays. He showed some of his Dads photography before Christmas and it was very good. From his fathers influence the seed was sewn.........

Don was a very caring father and I considered him a friend. He gave me good advice as Mark and I shared our interests in photography. He was passionate about his work, which he passed onto his son and my good friend, Mark. After loosing my own father this year, I can only hope that Mark and all members of the Llanuza family realize Don is in a better place.

Don was full of enthusiasm for the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts, appreciated its history and mission, and served diligently as board member, studio monitor, refreshments-provider, exhibition committee member and president for two years. He was an amazing artist, and was also proud to be the son of an artist, Pete Llanuza, of baseball and Hearst newspaper fame.
