Don Hardin McDowell

I just saw today (18 November 2024) on Joe Glockner´s CT History site that Admiral McDowell passed away in March. How sad that such an accomplished Navy officer should depart the pattern with a one paragraph obituary that records his birth and death. Admiral McDowell had a life-changing impact on the direction of my career when I worked for him at CINCPACFLT and again when he was COMNAVSECGRU. His leadership and vision had a significant impact on fleet intelligence and geolocating operations...

I will miss visiting Don and our many lunches together. We had wonderful discussions on lots of topics. My thoughts and prayers are with you Helen on your loss. Praise the Lord for his grace on Don's home going.
