Not sure what to say?

To Don Oren's family
Don appeared in my court a number of times over the years. I only knew him, Eric and Charlie professionally. Yet, in court, the character, honesty and integrity of a man can be readily measured. Don presented as a strong advocate for his clients, but without exaggeration or bullying. He was always well prepared. His points of law were ever trustworthy, an important feature for a judge trying to make a correct and just legal decision.
Only today did I learn of Don's...

From the LaBossiere Family-we just heard about Don's passing and are saddened for your loss. He was a good friend to Ted and Kaye and their family. After Ted passed away, Don provided immense assistance to Kaye (at no charge), for which she is very appreciative. They had a lot of fun times with Don and Isabelle playing cards and having dinners. Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Charlie, Eric and family
We were so sorry to read about the loss of your father. Your parents were wonderful neighbors and friends and they will be truly missed.

Charlie and the Oren family :
We offer our condolences on the passing of your father Don. I only met him a couple of times, but I remember him as a good man. The Heller family appreciates the opportunity offered my father to work in your father's law firm. Maybe the two of them will enjoy some fine legal discourse.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To All of the Oren Family Members: Don appeared before me in Court on numerous occassions. He was ALWAYS prepared, tenacious, respectful and energetic---and frankly, he always prevailed. He was a superlative lawyer, and his presence both in and out of the courtroom enhanced the State Bar of California immensely. He was both a strong advocate and an example of what an advocate should be to younger lawyers who watched him at work. Please accept Kathy's and my thoughts and prayers at this...

Charlie, I am so sorry to read about the loss of your father. He was a man of old school grace and charm. The few times that I met him, he was kind and gracious. I know you will miss him terribly. My thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Dear Charlie and Patricia and Eric and Jennifer. We are so sorry for your loss. I only met your dad one time when I called him as a young attorney to ask him about his writings in the CEB book on Zoning and Land Use. Probably a very bothersome thing for an experienced lawyer like your dad, but he treated me with the utmost respect and attention. God bless your families.

To the family of Don,
So sorry for your loss. When someone you love becomes a memory the memory become a treasure so treasure the memory

Charlie and Eric Although I am saddened by Don's passing, I know you must be comforted by the memories of your Dad's full and rich life. You have my deepest sympathies and sincere condolences. Don was a fine guy and a very good lawyer. He exemplified the professionalism, honesty and integrity to which lawyers aspire. The profession needs more lawyers like Don. I was lucky to have worked with him on several occasions and he never failed to teach me something valuable. His legacy lives on...
