Not sure what to say?

Dr.Barr was our family doctor back in the early 60s. I developed allergies as a young child and needed was put on a regimen of allergy shots. Very scary for a wee child. I don´t remember exactly what he said to me but I do remember happily marching into his office and sticking out my arm for my needles. I would always leave with 2 suckers, one for me and one for my younger brother. My sincere condolences to you all.

Carol, My deepest sympathies. Always remember the good times and the smiles. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Ornella

Don was a very close friend of my father (Nick Hodson). It was through the friendship of Don & my dad that I got to know Don. Don was such a kind and caring man. My wife and I will miss him.

Dr. Donald Barr wasn't much older than I when he had to deliver the news that I, a Ryerson journalism almost-graduate, was expecting a baby. It hadn't been in my plans but he was kind and reassuring and the result has been a joy (mostly) for the last 62 years. Ryerson was fortunate to have this caring considerate man at the helm of its health services.

My first 'mature' physical, conducted by Dr. Barr at RPI, thanks to the invite by my late father J.D. MacFarlane, then Chair of Journalism (I was not a student there). 'JDM' valued his friendship with Donald immensely, and both shared a love of young people and the opportunity to counsel, guide, and mentor. RIP, Doctor.
