Dear Nancy, I didn't work with Donnie for very long after I joined the North Chicago Police Department but I can tell you that if you ever needed assistance, he was always there. He was a good man and a totally professional police officer. I will miss his smile and his sense of humor. God Bless

Don will be missed. He was a great man.

Dear Nancy and Family, we are so very sorry to hear of Don's passing. We spent many years working together on the North Chicago PD. Don was a very honorable man and a faithful public servant. We send our love, prayers and deepest sympathy. Sincerely,

I remember growing up in North Chicago with Don. My Dad was Joe Angelos, and I always hung out at the Youngrens. Don was a great guy and I always have fond memories growing up with him. My thoughts and Prayers with the family he was a great guy.

Dear Whiskey, (Donna) This is John Dowdy's daughter, Debbie. Don WAS my uncle, he used to like to come to the house and wake us kids up really late with my Dad. I remember the field corn roasts at your house. I remember his laugh and his smile. I got my first bicycle from him,I think every kid in North Chicago at that time did. I'm sorry for you and your family. He was one of the best Uncles a girl could have. Sending you love and hugs,
Deborah Dowdy-Bernardy
