Dear Nancy, I didn't work with Donnie for very long after I joined the North Chicago Police Department but I can tell you that if you ever needed assistance, he was always there. He was a good man and a totally professional police officer. I will miss his smile and his sense of humor. God Bless

Dear Whiskey, (Donna) This is John Dowdy's daughter, Debbie. Don WAS my uncle, he used to like to come to the house and wake us kids up really late with my Dad. I remember the field corn roasts at your house. I remember his laugh and his smile. I got my first bicycle from him,I think every kid in North Chicago at that time did. I'm sorry for you and your family. He was one of the best Uncles a girl could have. Sending you love and hugs,

I am a current member of the North Chicago Police Department. I never got the opportunity to work with Sergeant Barrows, but I did get to know Don well after he retired. We always talked the Police Department with all of his "war stories". I really enjoyed those conversation(s). May God bless the family of Sergeant Barrows Steve Roberts
