Not sure what to say?

Don Bathgate was my first flag football coach. I still remember practices at Old Orchard Park and games at all the parks in the SCV. Kevin and family, your father was a great man and mentor. May God bless you and your families during this time and always.

The world has lost a truly exceptional human being and a principled, genuine leader of all of those who
were fortunate enough to work with Don over his career in education. He loved being Principal at ACHS, where I got to be one of those people from 1986 through his retirement in 1993, but he was the happiest I ever saw him when in 1999, I visited the "Gentleman Farmer" on his farm in Anchor, Illinois.
Showing me all about the place, the new computerized Tractor he had recently...

It was such an honor to serve as Mr. Bathgate's secretary when he was Principal of ACHS. He was an incredibly good, kind, honorable man. He was a "by-the-book," stickler-for-the-rules" administrator. He exemplified the American Heartland moral courage values we admire.

Kevin, Cindy, Carla, and your families, You will be in my prayers. I have such wonderful memories of your dad and mom. Your mom was the best baker of luscious treats; your dad was never above helping with any job......

With sincere heartfelt sympathy in the passing of a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Bathgate at Adolfo Camarillo High School back in the 1980's. He was a stellar Principal, admired and respected by all. His smile lit up the room and he truly cared about students and staff. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
