Blessed you will always be, and a loving role model you will ALWAYS prevail. Alongside my PawPaw, you are still like a second grandfather to me. Now you will never be forgotten.

Pastor Burgs and my mother were in the hosptial at the same time. Although, his condition was very guarded, every single day he ask about my moms wellbeing and prayed for her. I will never forget the kindness and christian love he showed our family. Rest in Peace.

This is a shock to me. This POWERFUL MAN of GOD baptized me at St. Luke Missionay Baptist Church. "Mother" Burgs as we all called you...Sis. Smallwood was called "Mother" Smallwood; I can remember Pastor Burgs marching threw the West End streets singing that song, "ON TO BIBLE SCHOOL"..and every child in the West End attended Bible School.
