Donald Coppage Obituary
He is survived by his son, Michael David Coppage of Willow Wood, Ohio; daughter Melissa Robin Faudree of Culpeper County; sister Alice Coppage Barker of Farmville; friend Hazel E. Cooper of Sumerduck; five grandsons, David Lee Coppage, Danial Austin Coppage, Benjamin Oliver Winton Faudree, Grayson Lee Coppage and Ricky Monk Jr.; and three granddaughters, Samantha Anne Frazier, Claire Elizabeth Coppage and Shelby Monk.
He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Ray Coppage; parents, Ernest and Mary Coppage; and sister, Nancy Abel.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 10, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Mount Holly Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Grace Methodist Church cemetery.

To the Coppage Family: We belated learned of Don's passing and would like to take a moment to send along our heartfelt condolences on your loss. We became friends with Don shortly after we moved to Goldvein in 2004, often stopping by his farm to buy tomatoes in season and sharing horse manure from ours to help him fertilize his fields. He was truly the "Salt of the Earth", a good neighbor, and a good friend who will be missed by many.

I remember stopping over a few times in my youth. Donald was always well respected and honored by my father, Leo and my uncle Omri as a hard-working, honest man. They liked having you as the good neighbor you were. I enjoyed the beatiful photo album, brought back some good memories. God Bless you, Donald.

Our deepest sympathy to the family in Donald's passing. I remember riding the bus to school with him when we were children and in later years would see him on occasion. I knew what a great gardener he was. When my mother was alive he would bring her a bushel of cresses every spring. I know he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Donald was kind to me. I saw him as a hard worker and dedicated to the task at hand. I enjoyed working the fish frys with him and hearing his gardening stories. My sympathy to his family.

We knew Donald through the Sumerduck Ruritan Club. He always had a handshake, a smile and a good story to share...RIP

Donald was a kind and very friendly man. We only new him a short time but we will miss him with his gentle smile, easy going way and his helpfulness.
